Birding By Ear

Welcome. My name is Beth and I live outside of Salt Lake City Utah. I've been birding now for over two decades but several years ago I really wanted to take my birding skills to the next level, so I started to seriously study how to identify birds by sound alone. All their songs, calls, chips, sips, tweets, and cherps. At the time I wished there was a podcast that would read a description of the bird song or sound, maybe a mnemonic or two and then play the sound. Then I could be studying bird sounds while working, driving, doing the dishes, folding laundry all the things I do while listening to podcasts. Birding by ear is such an auditory experience its perfect for a podcast. But I couldn't find a podcast like that so I decided to create one myself. I'm not an expert birder but a fellow student learning to bird by ear so if you want to learn too come along and lets learn some birds sounds together.
